I am very happy to announce the release on Nesma Music label of the first album of a series dedicated to Egyptian Folk Dances: “Old Cairo”. This first volume of a series of 3 is going to be released in digital format in our online store next Friday, February 15.
Nesma Music is an independent producer and distributor of music and dance dedicated mainly to Arabic music, oriental and Andalusian dance, extending its activity to other genres such as jazz or flamenco.
Established in Madrid, Spain in 2003, our company realizes a large part of its activities in Cairo Egypt, where we collaborate with renowned artists. Our project deals with the promotion and the diffusion of the richest musical tradition of Arabic music to the whole world and all the possibilities it offers to integrate it with other musical styles and cultures, and support the development of our artists’ careers.
